In a unexpected collaboration that breaks traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Adventure Uncovered

According to the official release, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of prohibited ceremonies and monstrous transformations echo through the darkness." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a clandestine sect.

The adventure focuses on "bizarre experiments and a monstrous enemy" and is accessible to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Metamorphoses

The trailer features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a dramatic moment showing a character, likely the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Material

Players who successfully complete the adventure will obtain an exclusive katana alongside multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Third Free Story Content

This patch also adds the game's third free story content, titled "The Enigma."
